I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and as a teenager I decided I wanted to become an artist. I haven't been able to make a living out of my art yet, but I'm working towards that goal, and for several years now my dream has been to illustrate children's books. That dream came true in 2013, and now I'm working on my second picture book project.

I grew up very close to nature and always had a strong bond to all things natural. My style is colourful and lively, often portraying nature with a hint of fantasy; always trying to keep my inner child alive and well!

I create art to make people smile, hoping that the smile may awaken childhood memories. And those memories may lead to a deeper love of nature, which may inspire people to live a more environmentally conscious life.

When I'm not painting I can generally be found outdoors, usually gardening. Most of my inspiration comes from English gardens and Swedish forests. With roots in Scandinavia and Britain I'm very drawn to the folklore and mythology of both places.

Thanks for visiting my gallery!

Hi, I'm really impressed by your art! May I ask whether you graduated any sort of art school or you're a self-taught artist?

Hello, and thanks very much for commenting! I studied art for three years at the age of 16-18. The Swedish equivalent of high school. So not a degree or anything. I started studying fine art at Uni, but realised after two months that I do not want to be taught how to do art- I want to do it my way. So I dropped out.
What about you?

Well, I'm still in high school - that's my last year. By the beginning of June I'll have my final exams (hopefully) passed and I'll have to choose what's next. I'm sure it's gonna be something related to art - my parents really encourage me to study architecture, and that's the most likely option for now, however I'm also thinking of computer graphics or animation, or industrial design... I'm a bit confused to be honest :>

Best of luck on your exams! You could always take a year off and do something else, before you make your mind up.
